Now Google wants to sell you light bulbs

The company's announced plans to fill your home with electrical products including light bulbs, dishwashers and thermostats which can be controlled remotely via an Android device.


The plan is to create a series of devices that can communicate wirelessly with PCs and phones, under a project called Android@Home.

"We want to think of every device in your home as a connection to Android apps," says product management director Hugo Barra.

Although entering the crowded “home automation” market is brave move by Google, the firm highlighted that 400,000 Android devices are now being activiated every day.

The first product to be available is likely to be an LED bulb, developed by Lighting Sciences Group, which contains an integrated radio. The bulbs are expected to be available by the end of the year at around the same price as a standard LED - $30 or so.

The most productive chapter in Mr. Jobs's career occurred near the end of his life, when a nearly unbroken string of successful products like the iPod, iPhone and iPad changed the PC, electronics and digital-media industries.
The way he marketed and sold those products through savvy advertising campaigns and Apple's retail stores helped turn the company into a pop-culture phenomenon. At the beginning of that phase, Mr. Jobs described his philosophy as trying to make products that were at "the intersection of art and technology." In doing so, he turned Apple into the world's most valuable company with a market value of $350 billion.

Steven Paul "Steve" Jobs (February 24, 1955 – October 5, 2011) was an American computer entrepreneur and innovator. He was co-founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of Apple Inc. Jobs also previously served as chief executive of Pixar Animation Studios; he became a member of the board of directors of The Walt Disney Company in 2006, following the acquisition of Pixar by Disney. After losing a power struggle with the board of directors in 1985, Jobs resigned from Apple and founded NeXT, a computer platform development company.
Apple's subsequent 1996 buyout of NeXT brought Jobs back to the company he co-founded, and he served as its interim CEO from 1997, then becoming permanent CEO from 2000 onwards.
After resigning as CEO in August 2011, Jobs was elected chairman of Apple's board of directors and held that title until his death.

On October 5, 2011, Jobs died in California at age 56 of pancreatic cancer, seven years after being diagnosed.

This is an example of current institutional leadership. In the present scenario, most of the institutes are fixed in a block or Squarish thinking.

10.Love Is Time & Space Free
Love is not time bound and space bound. It is very well demonstrated in this movie same love was demonstrated byKrishna and Meera. Love is border free, time free and space free.

11. Importance Of One Word In Communication
If communication dies, everything dies. Each word has impact and value in communication. One word if used wrongly or emphasized wrongly or paused at a wrong place in communication what effect it creates and how is it affected is demonstrated very well in this movie.

12.Mediocrity Is Penalized
Middle class family or average talent or average institute is going to suffer and has to pay maximum price in the life if they do not upgrade their living standards. To be born poor or as an average person is not a crime but to die as an average person with middle class talent is miserable and if you are unable to optimize your potentiality and die with unused potentiality then that is your shameful truth. One should not die as a mediocre. He/she has to bring out genius inside him/her and has to use his/her potentiality to the optimum level.

BURJ KHALIFA Dubai : Tallest Tower in the World

Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohamed Monday announced that the world's tallest tower Burj Dubai will be renamed Burj Khalifa after the president of the United Arab Emirates.

Burj Khalifa (Arabic: برج خليفة‎"Khalifa Tower"), formerly known as Burj Dubai, is a skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the tallest man-made structure ever built, at 828 m (2,717 ft).

Construction began on 21 September 2004, with the exterior of the structure completed on 1 October 2009. The building officially opened on 4 January 2010. The building is part of the 2 km2 (490-acre) flagship development called Downtown Burj Khalifa at the "First Interchange" along Sheikh Zayed Road, near Dubai's main business district.
The total cost for the Burj Khalifa project was about US$1.5 billion; and for the entire new "Downtown Dubai", US$20 billion.

The tower's architecture and engineering was performed by Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill of Chicago. Adrian Smith, who worked with Skidmore, Owings and Merrill until 2006, was the chief architect and Bill Baker was the chief structural engineer for the project.

How to improve your chances of getting a job?

(I) Things to consider before you apply for a job:

1. Make sure you understand what the role involves. If it’s possible, speak to a representative from the company.

2. Prepare your CV – make sure all of your details are correct and up to date. Try to get someone else to look at it and get their opinion. This will have a huge impact on how the employer will perceive you.

3. Use the Internet as a resource for:
− Company information.
− Information about the department/group.
− Samples of documents or other tools you might be involved with if you get the job.


(II) Before the interview:
• Present well – first impressions count, so make sure you give it your best shot.
• Be on time – very important! If you can’t make it on time, call the company or person
you are meeting and let them know.
• Be prepared – know your CV inside out, and bring it with you. Is there anything else
you need to bring?
• Samples of work are always the best way to show off what you know.
Bring samples whether or not you’re asked to do so.
• Turn off mobile phones, alarms, organizers/PDAs and so on.

(III) At the interview
• Try to relax – most employers are not out to get you. Try to look enthusiastic about the interview – people that give off negative vibes in an interview often get it back!
• Answer the questions! Don’t talk about friends, pets and other non-related facts –
unless asked.
• Be direct and precise with your answers. This may mean that you’ll have to have
practice questions prepared before the interview (that’s why we’re here – right?)
• Show that you’re an all-rounder.
• Think of scenarios before the interview that you could bring along with you. Rehearse these to the nth detail – and know what you want to say.


(IV) Answering questions
• Know what you want to say.
• Keep it simple.
• Have some order.
• Ask for pen and paper for these types of questions, if you have to – map it out!

(V) At the end of the interview:
• ASK QUESTIONS! Almost anything goes!
• Tools, technology, workspace, work hours
• Advancement, benefits and HR related issues
• Try to be a bit different.
• If possible, do some research on the company prior to the interview, and know what
you want to ask. Come prepared – showing a list of questions is not necessarily a bad
thing!

Rocket Singh: "Risk toh Spiderman ko bhi lena padta hai"

Hi frnds, Welcome back you all to Inmantec. Well frnds, choosing any specialization in MBA/PGDM, i hope approx. 90% of students would start their career in sales. Bcoz Sales is a place where you learn from the scratch and have experience at the root-level. Isn't it?

When you get promotion, you would get subordinates in your team to generate Business lead. At that point of time bcoz of previous experience you would lead them in more better manner and nobody would cheat you.


So, finally moral of the story is that recently on 11th Dec a new movie has been launched: "Rocket Singh - (Salesman of the Year)". The moto to discuss about this movie is that i found only this movie talking some sense on reality-ground after Swadesh. No hype, no science fiction, no fantasy. Just a plain and inspirational movie for today's young generation, who are about to start their career.

The movie points out following things:
1. What are the problems faced by a new Sales-Trainee?
2. How to deal with corporate people(clients) to generate business?
3. How to survive into today's neck-cut competition?
4. How to achieve your own ambitions?
5. How to deal with upper/middle/lower level politics in company?

The movie states, “Risk toh Spiderman ko bhi lena padta hai, main toh phir bhi Salesman hoon” (Even Spiderman has to take risk, I am just a Salesman).
Rocket Singh is quite relatable in recent times. Half the day one gets uncalled-for calls from salesmen wanting to sell us products from the world. And in the other half almost every employee in any organization dreams of starting his own company like his workplace. Rocket Singh combines these common-man conflicts to come up with a compelling narrative.

So, my suggestion is that everybody who read this blog-post please watch this movie at any cost and also suggest others. Its a fully Paisa-wasool movie, where you gain a lot for your career and loss nothing.
